We have hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for you to choose from. There are also opportunities for you to study with us on an exchange for up to one year.

Undergraduate courses

Undergraduate courses are for students going to university for the first time. You may know this level of study as a 'bachelor' or 'first degree' or 'pre-graduate'.

All our undergraduate degree courses are Honours degrees. This means they are of a higher standard than an ordinary or pass degree.

Postgraduate courses

Postgraduate courses are for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree. You may know this level of postgraduate study as a 'masters', 'graduate' 'doctoral' or 'PhD'.

Postgraduate study will enable you to:

  • extend your subject knowledge beyond undergraduate level
  • specialise in a field of academic study
  • gain a competitive edge in the job market

International Preparation Courses

International Preparation Courses are for students who want to develop the academic and English language skills needed for further study at Newcastle University.

We offer a range of academic programmes. These prepare you for direct entry to degrees at Newcastle University.

We also offer English-language courses to help you improve your language skills and adapt to studying at a UK university.

These courses are run by INTO Newcastle. They are integrated into our academic structure, so by studying with INTO Newcastle you are part of Newcastle University.

Study abroad and exchanges

Exchange programmes are a great way for you to learn about different cultures and experience life in a different country – all while continuing your studies.

The credits you gain while studying here can be transferred back to your home institution to count towards your final degree mark.
